Round Nixie Watch - Part Seven
I decided to go back to my previous design, which has worked reliably for years. This required a redesign of the PC board, but I had already designed a board with these parts so it was not a big effort.
The only major change is that the tilt board is now to the left of the tubes instead of hidden. I also had to move the programming connector down to the logic board, requiring removal of the module for CPU reprogramming. This does result in a cleaner switch board, however.
The watch case remained basically unchanged. I did make the face twice as thick to support a thick mineral glass crystal, and I increased the width of the grooves on the cover to make it easier to unscrew.
